Airtec Standard are the perfect all-round residential aerated concrete blocks giving you a combination of medium strength and high thermal performance in one block.
These concrete wall blocks are unique in combining a thermal conductivity of only 0.11 W/mK, with a compressive strength of 3.6 N/mm² to allow flexible design for single and multi-storey construction.
All Airtec products are ISO 9001 Quality and ISO 14001 Environmentally certified and with the highest possible BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing rating of ‘Excellent’.
In common with all other Airtec blocks, they boast the very best possible dimensional tolerance category of 'Thin Layer Mortar B' (TLMB) but are perfectly suitable for conventional 10mm mortar joint construction. These Aerated Blocks are smooth faced but are not intended for fair-faced use due to the natural air bubbles on the block surface.
Our Airtec Concrete blocks are available in ‘Standard’ texture finish providing a plain-faced, smooth, cellular texture which is a suitable background for accepting renders and plasters.
In common with all aerated concrete in the UK, the surfaces of the building blocks may contain a random number of larger natural air bubbles/cells on the block surface due to an unavoidable consequence of the manufacturing process. These large cells are perfectly normal and are not a defect and do not detract from performance in any way. Although the blocks can be painted, we cannot guarantee that the surfaces will not contain some of these larger cells and we therefore do not recommend using Airtec for paint-grade or fair-faced applications.

Delivery
Please note the following information refers to orders placed online only.
Most of our deliveries will be fulfilled by your chosen branch and their own fleet, which could include trucks with HIAB cranes, flatbeds or, smaller transit-style vans. Should you have any specific access requirements or instructions, please discuss these with your branch upon placing your order. Occasionally, your delivery may be fulfilled by one of our suppliers directly.
CUMBRIA BUILDING SUPPLIES is proud to quick local delivery to our customers in the majority of circumstances, but this is at the discretion of our branches and we reserve the right to withdraw it at any time. Should this be the case, we will do our best to contact you in advance and advise of any charges in your delivery timescale.
Once you have placed your order, your delivering branch will contact you to discuss a suitable delivery date and time. If you need to make any adjustments to your order, it can be done at this stage.
Collections
At CUMBRIA BUILDING SUPPLIES we also offer collection from our branch and this can be selected from the checkout. Once your order has been placed, your selected branch will contact you to confirm when your items are ready for collection. Please do not travel to collect your order until confirmation has been made.
Returns
Please note there is a 10% restocking charge on any items returned to us.
There is a minimum 25% restock charge on any goods we collect from your site.

In Cumbria Building Supplies, we use a trusted and secure partner for debit and credit card processing. Any receipts that are generated by our PDQ machines at the till are securely stored on our premises for a year (as legally required) and then destroyed after that time. At no time do we retain full credit card details of any PDQ card payment.
